Defense Logistics Agency

The Defense Logistics Agency is the Department of Defense's combat logistics support agency, supplying the military services and other federal agencies with everything from fuel and food to repair parts. DLA employs about 25,000 people, nearly all federal civilians, and its footprint spans roughly 60 million square feet across some 11,000 buildings, including a worldwide network of distribution centers. Maintenance employees work at these depots and distribution facilities, keeping warehouses, material handling equipment, and facility systems in service.
