Commander, Navy Installations Command

Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is the Navy shore command responsible for operating all U.S. Navy installations, overseeing 70 installations organized into 11 regions with a workforce of more than 50,000 military and civilian personnel. CNIC delivers base operating services including port and airfield operations, utilities, housing, security, and emergency management. Its federal civilian maintenance employees work in base facilities and public works functions, maintaining buildings, utility systems, and shore infrastructure that support the fleet.
